This course equips educational leaders with practical tools, protocols, and resources to strengthen collaborative leadership teams, enhance intervention systems, and improve the use of data for instructional decision-making. Grounded in evidence-based practices from the MTSS for Reading Improvement:  A Leaders Tool Kit for Schoolwide Success (Brown & Stollar, 2025), participants will engage in analyzing current systems, applying the science of learning, and refining practices to better meet student needs. The course culminates in the development of data-driven, actionable Leadership for Impaction Action Plan designed to improve the outcomes for ALL students.

Required Reading:  MTSS for Reading Improvement:  A Leaders Tool Kit for Schoolwide Success (Brown & Stollar, 2025). This book can be obtained from major book suppliers or through the Heartland AEA library (if the district has purchased the district library package from the AEA).

This is an evaluator approval licensure renewal option for administrators. Beginning administrators prepared at institutions outside of Iowa or career administrators from outside of Iowa seeking Iowa administrator licensure must complete the iEvaluate course before completing other evaluator approval course options.
