HL - Secondary Science of Reading: Advancing Literacy (Beyond the Foundational Level) (LR)

This course extends the principles of the Science of Reading into adolescent education; grades 4-12. It emphasizes how evidence-based literacy practices support adolescent learners across content areas. Participants will explore the application of phonology, phonics, morphology, vocabulary, and comprehension within complex text instruction, as well as the reciprocal relationship between reading and writing.
